Burtons Solicitors Sponsors the We Are Beams Afternoon Tea 2025

On Tuesday 14th October, Burtons Solicitors proudly sponsored the We Are Beams Autumn Afternoon Tea 2025 - one of the charity’s most cherished fundraising events of the year.

Held at St Peter’s Church in Hextable, the afternoon brought together local businesses, supporters, and families for a relaxed gathering filled with delicious cakes, uplifting entertainment, a lively quiz, and a prize raffle - all in celebration of the extraordinary work Beams does across Kent.

Representing Burtons at the event were Sarah Hopper and Natalia Mascoll, who joined guests in an afternoon dedicated to community, connection, and kindness.

Proudly Standing Together

Supporting Beams at Burtons has always been about standing alongside families who show remarkable resilience every day.

As a local firm with over 40 years of providing legal services to communities across Kent and East Sussex, Burtons believes in supporting initiatives that make a genuine difference to people’s lives.

The values that guide Beams - compassion, advocacy, and belonging - reflect the same commitment that drives our work across family law, conveyancing, wills and probate, and specialist trusts and deputyships.

During the event, Sarah Hopper, Head of Burtons’ Private Client Department, delivered a heartfelt speech expressing our pride in supporting Beams and admiration for the charity’s impact:

“Beams provides a lifeline - giving children the opportunity to thrive and families the support they need to keep going. Whether it’s through respite care, direct support, or simply being there when it matters most, the impact of Beams is profound.

Supporting Beams feels like such a natural fit. We understand the challenges that families with disabled children and young people face, and we know how vital it is to have organisations like Beams offering not just services, but genuine care, advocacy, and a sense of belonging.”

We’re honoured to stand alongside them today - not just as sponsors, but as supporters of their mission and the families they serve.

Looking Ahead

It was a privilege to share the afternoon with so many inspiring people, and we remain committed to supporting Beams and the vital work they do for families across Kent.

Giving back has always been a cornerstone of who we are at Burtons, and we’re proud to have been part of such a special event and look forward to continuing our work with local organisations that help build stronger communities across Kent and East Sussex.
