Burtons Solicitors was proud to sponsor a recent charity networking event in support of We Are Beams, held at Rowhill Grange Hotel in aid of the charity’s vital work with disabled children, young people and their families.
Despite the rain, the event was extremely well attended and brought together local businesses and supporters to raise both awareness and funds for a cause that means a great deal to the Burtons team.
Representing Burtons at the event were Maria Parker (Senior & Managing Partner), Sarah Hopper (Head of Private Client Department)and Vicky Gallier (Head of Family Law Department), who joined guests in supporting the charity and hearing more about the impact of its work.
Maria Parker also presented the raffle prizes generously donated by local businesses, helping to raise further funds for the charity.

Speaking at the event, Vicky Gallier, Family Law Solicitor at Burtons, reflected on the connection between the charity’s work and Burtons’ own commitment to supporting families:
“I’m so pleased to see that this incredible charity has such support for the crucial help it provides. Burtons has been keenly sponsoring Beams for over a year now, and it is important to our firm to work with charities that help children and families who need that extra assistance.
Working in Family Law, I am acutely aware of the importance of the wellbeing and happiness of children and the families around them. As a Family Lawyer, I am only able to address the theory of this, and I am completely humbled by the essential help and support that Beams gives to the children and families who need their specialist care.
But just because our jobs might mean we can’t give that hands-on help that is so necessary, we can still do our bit to make sure that these wonderful people have what they need to do theirs.”
Vicky also introduced Sarah Hopper, Head of Burtons’ Private Client Department, whose work includes Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters and vulnerable person trusts - areas of law that often become especially important when families are planning for the future or supporting a loved one with additional needs.
