At Burtons Solicitors Bexley, we were honoured to support a meaningful community campaign organised by independent Usborne Partner Karen Harwood, helping provide books for children affected by domestic abuse.
Through the campaign, books were collected and donated to Bexley Women’s Aid, with the hope of offering comfort, distraction, and moments of escape for children during incredibly difficult times.
For over 50 years, Bexley Women’s Aid has provided essential support, refuge, and guidance to women and children experiencing domestic abuse, helping families obtain and sustain a safe living environment. We are incredibly grateful for the vital work they continue to do within the local community.
The book collection was organised at our Burtons Solicitors Bexley office, with support from Partner Esther Hudson and Vicky Gallier, Head of our Family Law Department. As a firm with teams supporting both Family Law in Bexley and Conveyancing in Bexley, we understand how important safe, stable environments are for families and children during periods of change and uncertainty.
We would also like to thank Karen Harwood for creating such a thoughtful initiative and giving local businesses the opportunity to get involved and support an important cause.
